BBC科普纪录片《杰西的迷你野兽探险Minibeast Adventure with Jess》“野兽探险”听起来真是太让人激动了，还好我是一个伪探险者，看完之后纪录片里的每一种野兽还是有可能带娃儿去了解一下的。

《杰西的迷你野兽探险Minibeast Adventure with Jess》是一部BBC科普纪录片，推荐4岁以上儿童观看，该片鼓励学龄前儿童探索当地环境、发现并观察动物的生活，以及尽可能地接触野生动物。我们不一定要到遥远的地方去邂逅动物，能把周遭见到的动物做一个了解，也是一次不错的尝试。发现蝴蝶、飞蛾、瓢虫、蚊子、蚂蚁、毛毛虫，地点可以是小区草地、花园、公园，甚至窗台上的花盆。别看它们小，孩子们的每一个发现都会让他们兴奋。

纪录片中高清的镜头对准虫子们，让我们看得一清二楚，每集开始Jess都会在Tree house 中和小朋友们打招呼，并介绍今天要探索的动物，然后带着两个孩子一起去外面寻找动物，孩子都约4-5岁，他们经常说一些极富创意的话，在讲飞蛾的那一集，Jess说飞蛾的触角可以闻到很远地方的东西，Rowan（一个孩子）马上发挥想象说：它可以闻到来自另一个国家的味道(It could smell from another country)。片中的Jess是英国电视名人、兽医、作家，在伦敦大学学院获得动物学家一级学位，在诺丁汉大学获得兽医学和外科学学位，还能讲流利的西班牙语，这么优秀，是很多女性的榜样。在纪录片中总不忘记提醒孩子，大自然才是虫子的家，观察完后要送他们回去。《杰西的迷你野兽探险》对虫子拍摄地非常清晰，有爬行时、拍翅膀、吃东西的镜头，我们平时就算是直面虫子，也不可能看这么清楚，主持人会介绍它们的特征和习性，所以，这部纪录片简直是一本活的虫虫百科全书。

纪录片从孩子的视角去讲述，绝大多数孩子都会对动物有很大的兴趣，观看《杰西的迷你野兽探险》是很赞的选择，孩子们的英语启蒙中，动物也是一个他们非常有兴趣的主题。

纪录片中除了讲述型的动物知识，Jess会带着两位小朋友一起实践，根据动物的习性给他们做窝、观察完蜘蛛后用毛线织一张网，也许你的小家伙对动物感兴趣，夏季正是虫子多的时候，可以以纪录片作为参考，引导孩子观察动物，记得告诉孩子，要轻轻的，不要伤到它们，还有，观察完后送它们回家。你需要准备的东西是：塑料可透气的容器（最好是透明的）、放大镜。近距离看蜗牛的蠕动和触角：
